WishCall terms

What WishCall is

WishCall connects someone you choose, a child or an adult, with an AI holiday character on a live video call. The character is generated by software; no person is on the other end. The character asks about kind things they did and what they’re hoping for, and you receive a written summary.

Your role

You confirm you’re the child’s parent or legal guardian, that you schedule and supervise the call, and that you stay nearby while it happens. You decide whether and when your child uses WishCall.

Calling an adult

If the person you’re calling is 18 or older, you confirm that. Before they answer, their call screen tells them the character is AI and that a summary of what they wish for comes to you. Answering the call is their choice.

What we keep

We keep a transcript of the conversation, not audio or video, to write your report. Transcripts are deleted 60 days after the call. Your child’s camera image, if shown, stays on your device and is never sent to us. We don’t use your child’s words to train AI models, and we don’t show ads to children.

The gift report

The report lists what your child asked for and may link to stores. We may earn a commission when you buy through those links. The character never promises gifts and never mentions prices or stores to your child.

Limits on our liability

AI can misunderstand or say something unexpected. WishCall is provided as is. To the fullest extent the law allows, WishCall isn’t liable for what the character says, for decisions you make based on the report, or for indirect damages, and our total liability is limited to what you paid for the call. Counsel to replace this section.

If your child says something worrying

If your child says something suggesting they may be hurt or unsafe, the character responds kindly and ends the gift conversation. How such moments are handled and who is told is still being finalized. Counsel and WishCall to complete this section before launch.
